POLITICO Live is looking for an events logistics intern to join its Brussels-based events team starting in August 2024 for a 4-month period.
POLITICO Live is the live extension of our journalism, providing a platform for coverage and analysis of the ideas and people driving politics and policy. Our mission is to amplify the impact of our journalism and illuminate, through our diverse event formats, the most important political and policy issues facing Europe.We are looking for an intern to join our busy and dynamic operations team. You will be working directly under the Operations Manager and providing logistical support across our wide portfolio of events this autumn. You will gain first-hand experience of the end-to-end logistical coordination of external suppliers and the internal team, that makes POLITICO events best in class.

What You'll Do
- Events support across POLITICO Live's exciting portfolio of events (venue and provider research, and stage 1 contracting)
- Onsite support (our VIP welcome, coordination with our suppliers onsite)
- Ownership of logistics to get our production on and off -site
- Research projects to improve and implement new initiatives
What You'll Need :
- The ability to multitask. You will need good communication and organizational skills.
- Agility to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment
- Growth mindset - enthusiasm for challenges and work ethic with a 'can do' attitude
- Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages, such as French, German, Spanish and/or Italian is a bonus.
- Appreciated skills: first-experience in operations, community or event management (in school/university/association, ...) as well as strong interest in EU affairs
Additional Internship Information
Internships generally last three to four months. This position is only available for student training as part of university or graduate coursework. Please note that as per Belgian regulations, internships that are part of university or graduate coursework cannot be paid, however, compensation toward lunch and transport to the office is provided. During the course of their internship, all interns will need to be located in Belgium as our offices are in Brussels.
