As a Client Solution Manager within PNC's Fortis Advisors organization based in San Diego, you can be based anywhere within the PNC footprint. This position will specifically be within the Finance group.

The Client Solution Manager will oversee the Fortis Finance team in providing exceptional support for our internal teams as well as our various external vendors and partners. They will also ensure our Finance team's smooth and accurate coordination with parties for account onboarding at closing, funds allocation and reconciliation, as well as facilitation of funds transfer requests throughout the post-closing process related to all active M&A transactions.

The Client Solution Manager will also supervise the Finance team's A/P tasks including handling of incoming invoices, balance and payment requests, telephone callback verifications, and general internal case management. They will also work with the Finance team as a liaison with various banks and other parties to confirm accurate account balances and transaction records. This position will also direct A/R tasks including generation and approval of Fortis invoices/credit memos, confirmation of incoming funds, deal allocation, and monthly Aging reporting. Our ideal candidate should be able to understand and decipher complex information contained in transaction documents (i.e. merger agreements, escrow agreements, paying agent agreements, Fortis engagement agreements, fee schedules, etc). In addition, they must be able to critically analyze and generate reports from data contained in confidential and intricate Excel spreadsheets (i.e. advanced accounting and Excel skills are a requirement). This role requires a very strong attention to detail and accuracy, high sense of ownership, focus on managing and resolving issues, along with establishing relationships and maintaining a service-oriented mentality with deal parties to keep them updated with the status of their requests.

The Client Solution Manager will also partner internally with senior managers to ensure appropriate follow-through and timely resolution of any issues related to incoming and outgoing funds.

Preferences/Skills
• Previous experience in an accounting/financial role with high attention-to-detail dealing with financial details is preferred; prior supervisory experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or billing as an added benefit
• Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, proactive and have a strong service mentality
• Must have effective and professional communication skills, both written (via email) and verbal (via phone)
• Must be able to prioritize tasks and have strong time management skills
• Must be able to work well in high volume, high pressure situations under tight deadlines while remaining focused
• Must have experience with electronic funds transfers (initiating and approving both domestic and international wire transfers); PNC Pinacle experience preferred
• Advanced knowledge of A/P and A/R bookkeeping required, including experience with SAP/Quickbooks/Oracle Fusion or similar program
• CRM / Database experience is preferred; NetSuite experience would be an added benefit
• Must have prior experience in a leadership role providing training and ongoing talent development

This is a remote position. Work may be performed from a quiet, confidential space in a home location, approved by PNC. This position may not be available in all geographic locations.

  • Manages all sales, service and execution support for new and ongoing client relationships and leads staff to achieve relevant KPI's and requirements.
  • Monitors and oversees all activities involved with support of sales, service and execution. Recommends improvements and connects strategy to business outcomes to drive desired client experience. Provides reports on performance to leadership.
  • Participates in establishing and ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures. Manages client exceptions and escalations.
  • Manages and maintains relationships with internal/external service partners.
  • Manages, aligns, and oversees the development of the client solutions team which may include supervisors and individual contributors.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $55,000.00 - $122,590.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
