Sr. (Lead) Engineer/Analyst I (II)

The Sr. (Lead) Analyst/Engineer will support the Day Ahead Market Operations Department mission by operating and supporting the Day Ahead and Real Time Energy Market.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to understand the operational and technical aspects of PJM's Markets including Day-Ahead Market, Fixed Transmission Right Auction, Real-Time Locational Marginal Price calculation, and Ancillary Services Market.
• Ability to perform power system analysis and document results.
• Ability to test software application enhancements and document results.
• Ability to provide customer support and training.
• Provide a high-level of analytical analysis and act as a problem solver, proactively addressing business needs and requirements with innovative, creative, and cost-effective solutions.
• Ability to develop new technical software tools and enhance existing applications to support Market Operations.
• Ability to work with other members of the Market Services Division, System Operations Division, and Planning Division in problem-solving and streamlining processes.
• Willingness to work some weekends and holidays running the Day-Ahead software.

• BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or equivalent work experience
• Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
• Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Experience using verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)

• MS, Engineering
• Programing experience in Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and or C Sharp (C#)
• Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions
• Experience supporting any of PJM Committees
