Product Sourcing Engineer
Job Description
Product Sourcing Engineer will create meaningful impact by being responsible for executing the standardized and harmonized business processes for the Procurement domain in which they operate. They perform the Procurement transactional operations, guard the process quality on an operational level and support internal and external participants of the process and users of the connected systems. They are responsible to monitor user behaviors, capture learnings and actively share experiences with respective BPEs.
Your role:
- Analyzing and supporting on business specific procurement performance (e.g. Monthly performance, AOP, BBSC related KPI's)
- Responsible for driving risk awareness by providing information on payment terms, contingency plans.
- Analyzes and reports on procurement or relevant commodity cluster performance (e.g. Monthly performance, AOP, BBSC related KPI's, monthly analysis of actual vs Annual Operating Plan, contingency plans).
- Understanding and improving the WOW, our methods, systems and tools. Ensures quality, accuracy and integrity of information stored in relevant systems, enabling a single source of truth.
- Ensures that all Procurement related risks are controlled and mitigated.
- Support DfX conventions to identify significant L3 savings potentials out of cost calculations.
- Support product cost models, by following the product hierarchy and the supply chain, create a full cost build-up of the landed product should cost.
- Seek process improvement opportunities and, depending on complexity, implement them directly or share with respective BPE.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects or initiatives locally and globally.
- Ensures compliance with Procurement policies and procedures, codes of ethics and general business principles.

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, business or similar.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Medical manufacturing background is a plus.
- 2-3 years of consistent professional track record, preferably in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Quality, R&D, or Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience in DfX, Value Engineering, LEAN or Six Sigma and working with cross functional teams.
- Knowledge of the long-term structural cost drivers for the assigned product, costing toolset (Should Costing, NPV, TCO) in projects.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
