Overview

As the Sales Director, you will be part of West division in our Pepsi Beverage North America (PBNA) organization. You will own the development and execution of the overall sales strategy for your market. You and your team will be responsible for delivering the Market Performance P&L, driving growth, and maximizing our brand performance.

You will lead a team of 1 Area Sales Managers (ASMs). In partnership with your ASM, you will develop a team of salaried field selling employees to drive superior marketplace execution, customer service, share growth, and profit performance for your assigned market. Collaborating with key functional partners including Commercial leaders, Warehouse Leaders, and Delivery Market Leaders to drive results will be critical to your success.

Responsibilities

The Sales Director role provides you with fantastic opportunities to build critical experiences such as furthering your business acumen and the key levers to pull to drive growth, obtaining a deep knowledge and understanding of the marketplace, building cross functional influencing skills, and mastering the art of leadership and talent development.

  • Responsible for Market Performance P&L and ensuring team delivers against Net Revenue, Volume, NOD/IOD, Share, Service and Productivity targets
  • Responsible for leading, coaching, and developing your sales leadership and frontline team
  • Execute functional and leadership capability agenda for your market to enable selling excellence and build next level leaders
  • Drive a culture of selling excellence, inclusion, and engagement across market
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key customers in your market and develop business relationships with key community stakeholders
  • Ensure your team activates local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performance
  • Partner with HR to develop and execute overall talent strategy inclusive of succession planning and development plans
  • Work with cross-functional partners (WH, Delivery, Retail and Foodservice Directors) to ensure execution of an annual operating plan
  • Partner with sector and division stakeholders to influence strategy and seamlessly execute transformation agenda inclusive of network optimization and infrastructure changes
  • Partner with HR, labor, and your leadership team to effectively negotiate labor contracts within your market with little to no disruption (if applicable)

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $125,900 - $249,900.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 25% of annual salary paid out annually.
    and an additional target payout of 10% of annual salary is paid out over 3 years following the end of the performance period.
  • Long term incentive equity may be awarded based on eligibility and performance.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree Preferred
  • Minimum 10 years experience including General Management experience and hands on day-to-day sales operations experience
  • Industry experience in Consumer Packaged Goods, Food & Beverage, Retail, Grocery, and/or Military
  • Proven leader with exceptional communication skills
  • Strong influence and communication skills; ability to gain organizational buy-in at all levels of an organization
  • Strong ability to lead through transformational change and drive a positive and inclusive culture
  • Experience leading a frontline and professional sales organization
  • Experience with expense management and/or managing a P&L
  • Demonstrated leadership of large multi-level teams
