As part of the PepsiCo Global Regulatory Affairs team, you will be responsible for ensuring faultless compliance of formulas and labeling for brands within the PepsiCo Foods US Business Unit. This role is critical to the innovation/renovation process from ideas all the way through to launch.
Responsibilities
- The primary focus of this position is to provide regulatory expertise to key Frito-Lay and Quaker brands. This includes authoring ingredient statements, nutrition facts, substantiating claims and approving graphics that help consumers make informed choices about PepsiCo Foods.
- In this role you will be responsible for multiple Frito-Lay and Quaker brands and ensuring the accuracy of the regulatory information in R&D databases, on final artwork and in specifications.
- The position involves working with multiple product task force groups to provide input on nutrition labeling, claims and regulatory questions as well as packaging timelines.
- The position requires an excellent understanding and application of US Food and Drug Administration labeling regulations to assure the accuracy of ingredient statements, nutrition facts, allergen declarations and claims.
- As a Regulatory Scientist, you must be able to monitor, interpret and ensure compliance with US regulations today and into the future.
- Technical savvy and expertise with product specification and life-cycle management systems is critical to success in this detail-oriented compliance role.
- This role provides an excellent opportunity to expand existing regulatory expertise while honing technical skills working in the breakfast and snack food categories.
- This position will interact with the greater Global Regulatory Affairs organization as well as many other functions, including but not limited to Product Development, Food Safety & Quality Assurance, Systems & Administration, Health & Nutrition Sciences, Marketing, Purchasing, Legal, among others.
- The position will require outstanding attention to detail and a passion for proper processes and documentation. Strong project management, prioritization and influencing skills will be required to move timelines forward. An innate desire to help others and collaborate will be key to success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $69,900 - $117,000.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 5% of annual salary paid out annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
- BS in Nutrition Science, Food Science, Engineering or equivalent as minimum
- Minimum of 2 years of regulatory affairs experience with strong knowledge of FDA and USDA food regulations
- Excellent computer skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize workload, balance multiple tasks and work independently
- Strong sense of urgency and commitment to meet timelines
Preferred skills:
- Previous experience working in product development, product specification, regulatory and/or product lifecycle management software
