Description and Requirements

-The Medicare Regulatory Analyst will work collaboratively with internal departments on the development and review of marketing/educational and ad hoc materials, policies, and correspondence to ensure compliance with State and Federal requirements. -The Medicare Regulatory Analyst communicates dispositions of all materials to internal stakeholders, maintains the HPMS memo tracker and Medicare website pages. -Provides support to all internal stakeholders during the annual Medicare "Go To Market" project in preparation for the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP). -Contributes to the Regulatory Affairs department objectives as directed by management and other projects as needed. -Provides support to the Medicare Regulatory Manager.

Hybrid Work Schedule

  • You are expected to report to our NY office located at 100 Church Street 3 days a week.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and manages marketing, educational, and ad hoc material reviews including assisting the Regulatory Affairs Manager by reviewing, finalizing, submitting, and tracking approvals of material reviews in HPMS.
  • Actively participates in the annual Medicare "Go to Market" process, including working with internal stakeholders on developing significant marketing documents, assigning material IDs, and tracking submissions to regulatory agencies for status including approvals/denials.
  • Coordinates a review of the website with business owners and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements specific to annual Go to Market activities, website monitoring and ad hoc changes.
  • Assists Regulatory Affairs Managers with the review, interpretation, and dissemination of non-complex regulations such as the Health Plan Management System (HPMS) and NY State Department of Health (DOH) memos including tracking distribution of guidance to internal stakeholders and following up on outstanding deliverables as needed.
  • Assists in the preparation of Medicare Part C and D reporting via HPMS, including tracking deadlines, following up with internal stakeholders, developing templates based on published technical specifications/reporting requirements and assisting internal stakeholders with the interpretation of reporting requirements as needed.
  • Responsible for archiving monthly marketing event calendars and following up with the business as needed.
  • Works with the Broker Relations team to review Multiplan submissions, opt-in/opt-out in HPMS, and provide feedback to the team and the Regulatory Affairs Manager.
  • Validates the monthly formulary.
  • Review the Marketing Repository to ensure all completed documents are saved.
  • Reviews the Disclaimer Bank and communicates disclaimer updates to the business owner.
  • Works collaboratively with Regulatory Affairs Managers and advises them of any identified issues or concerns.
  • Represents Regulatory Affairs Managers at meetings as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with government-sponsored programs in a Regulatory/Compliance capacity or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail with excellent editing skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills including tact and courtesy.
  • Ability to work well with minimum supervision.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Knowledge of Medicare and CMS guidelines as it relates to member materials.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with both internal and external parties.
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of Medicare Communications and Marketing Guidelines
  • Fluency in either Spanish or Chinese

Hiring Range:

  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $57,400 - $78,030
  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $49,800 - $74,120

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
