Lead System Architect

Meet Our Team:

As part of Pegasystems' consulting organization, the Lead System Architect provides architecture and design services to clients and ensures delivered solutions meet and perform to technical and functional specifications.

What You'll Do at Pega:

• At project level, lead and drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, UAT and production deployment.
• Partner with clients to deliver high-quality technical solutions across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Provide support and technical governance focused on one or more enterprise-level projects at a single client.
• Collaborate with Pega delivery team to ensure solutions meets or exceeds client expectations; ensure customer success (realization of business benefit) and delivery quality production systems).
• Provide estimates on project effort, timeliness, and resources; work in conjunction with Engagement Leader to size configuration and development efforts and to manage scope and risks.
• Ensure delivered solutions are realized in time frame committed and meet/perform to technical and functional requirements.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert to the organization and pro-actively respond to ad-hoc questions.
• Lead application development team on projects and conduct work product reviews.
• Mentor and coach junior system architects in their overall technical development.

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field and 7 years of experience in any job title/occupation/position involving building and implementing model-driven, enterprise-level business solutions and applications.
• Experience specified must include 5 years of experience with each of the following:
  • Leading in Agile and Scrum methodologies;
  • WebSphere or WebLogic;
  • J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, XML and Java);
  • .Net, Oracle and/or DB2; MS/SQL;
  • Object-Oriented techniques and principles; and
  • All phases of software development including design, configuration, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of large-scale, business-centric and process-based applications.
• Experience specified must also include 3 years of experience delivering Pega platform implementation.
• Requires Pega Lead System Architect Certification (CLSA).
• May live anywhere in the US.
• Telecommuting permitted.
• Requires up to 75% domestic travel to client sites.
