Position Summary:
We are seeking a Director of Internal Audit, Americas. Reporting to the Chief Audit Officer, you will contribute to the value of the Group Internal Audit function by leading internal audit assurance and advisory activities for the North America businesses and Latin America region, to achieve the Group Internal Audit objectives, mission and vision. This role is based in our Jacksonville, Florida office and offers a hybrid work environment where you will have a blend of 3 in office working days and 2 remote working days during the work week.

The global internal audit mission is to protect and grow Paysafe's value by providing objective, risk-based assurance and insight to the business, enabling it to drive ongoing improvement in governance, risk management and controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Representing IA at the regulated entity Board meetings for Skrill US.
  • Proactively identifying improvement opportunities related to the quality and compliance of internal audit deliverables, and owning initiatives to ensure improvements are implemented. Acting as a core part of the IA leadership to drive change and add value through our work.
  • Liaising with third party audit service providers and other internal/external partners of Internal Audit in order to ensure audit work is conducted effectively and efficiently; Monitoring the performance of outsourced audit partners through the use of KPIs and periodically report performance outcomes to the CAO.
  • Building an in-house team to promote an 'internal first' approach to using internal staff for Americas audit work.
  • Engaging with local regulators as part of recurring meetings and ad-hoc inspections.
  • Building strong relationships with US leadership and developing the optimum risk-based audit plan to cover the North America and LatAm regions with sufficient coverage of mandatory and risk-based audit topics.
  • Maintaining and continuously improving standard audit documentation supporting regular/recurring internal audit engagements.

Qualifications:

  • Strong academic record, including bachelor or higher degree equivalent
  • Industry-recognized audit or security certification such as CISA/CRISC/CGEIT/CISSP/CIA (IT), CPA/CIA/CFE/MBA (Finance, Compliance and Financial Crime, Operations), PMP (Projects)
  • 10+ years experience in a senior role in internal audit, security, risk, compliance or other assurance discipline, working within a global function
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience leading high performing teams
  • 5+ years experience in Financial Services sector
  • Strong knowledge of SOX control frameworks, including COSO and/or COBIT, and experience of SOX 404 controls testing
  • A deep understanding of Paysafe's business, associated risks and governance models at divisional level
  • Big 4 background is desired but not required
  • Payments/ EMI background in a listed US firm is also considered a plus but not required
