We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Compliance to lead our compliance efforts and ensure that our operations are fully compliant with applicable laws and regulations. As the Director of Compliance, your role will be to oversee and implement all aspects of the company's compliance program. You will be responsible for leading a team of 100 compliance professionals and ensuring that the company operates within the legal and regulatory framework while fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization. Your leadership will be instrumental in safeguarding our reputation, financial stability, and customer trust.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance program that aligns with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the compliance team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct regular assessments of compliance risks, identify potential areas of concern, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Keep abreast of changes in regulations, interpret their implications for the company, and make recommendations for necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees to enhance their understanding of regulatory requirements and expectations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that compliance considerations are integrated into business processes and product development.
  • Lead compliance audits and examinations by regulatory authorities, coordinating responses and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies, acting as the primary point of contact for compliance-related matters.
  • Foster a culture of ethics, integrity, and compliance throughout the organization, including the promotion of a "speak up" culture.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports and updates to senior management.
  • Represent the company on several industry collations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in in business, finance, law, or a related field - Required
  • in Juris Doctor degree or advanced degree - Preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in compliance roles within a large public company or financial services industry.
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) - Preferred

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $150,000.00-$220,000 annually, plus bonus and equity. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
