Materials Cycle Counter

You will be responsible for inventory control in the plant. The overall goal is to count every item in the plant once per year. You will count approximately 400 line items per month / 20 lines per day which equates to an average of $1.8M dollars inventory value per month. You may be asked to assist with locating parts in the plant, counting and aggregating parts for scraping, and conducting investigations in order to make recommendations on BOM and routing changes needed to adjust for material consumption to ensure inventory accuracy.

Primary job responsibilities
  • Receive monthly inventory part list and sort by part type/category
  • Further sort list by department and break list down into daily goals (approximately 20 lines per day)
  • Review system inventory count for each part
  • Print inventory list and begin physical cycle count
  • Review inventory initial results
  • Conduct investigations and take appropriate actions
  • Record month end findings
  • Recommend BOM and routing changes
