Area Sales Manager Thermal Management (Western Switzerland)

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

In this role you will develop and coordinate building technology (BIS) channel sales focusing on opportunity identification in projects' business (SPEC), distribution network improvement through the management of a network of Distributors and Wholesalers and you will manage sales and services for BIS business mainly in Western Switzerland. The working model is remote, and traveling up to 60 % of the time is encouraged (driving licence required). Our office is based in Tolochenaz/Schaffhausen.

  • Identify building technology/industrial (BIS/HIS) sales and business development opportunities nationally.
  • Establish a comprehensive network of key partners, this will help to secure organic and balanced growth.
  • Build construction project business (specification sales) in cooperation with partners and specialized distributors.
  • Assist in the development of sales/product literature and other MarCom activities. Plan and implement promotional campaigns including trade show participation, best practice concepts, by including all activities (seminars, workshops, trainings, etc.)
  • Conduct training sessions for key clients and their staff on our products and applications to expand their expertise, sales, and technical capabilities.
  • Find opportunities, track all activities, and implement CRM daily as nVent common sales management tool.


YOU HAVE:
  • Detailed western Switzerland knowledge of distribution networks associated with the construction industry preferably sanitary and/or e-channel (sanitary/electrical wholesalers), and construction/infrastructure projects (specification sales).
  • Good knowledge in heat tracing applications represents an advantage!
  • Solid understanding of project and construction management
  • Well-established relationships at senior and influential levels with distributors and major contractors operating within the country
  • Great negotiation skills, with a consistent record of achievement on major projects and/or distribution networks.
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills, cross-functional communication. Languages: French, German language skills are essential and English preferable
  • Qualifications: n higher professional education and training (Eidgenössische Berufsprüfung/ Techniker TS), technical background in Electricity or HVAC preferably supported by a Business qualification will be additional asset.
