We are currently seeking a Senior Cloud Architect - AWS and Azure to join our team in DC, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).

Background:

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Cloud Architect with expertise in AWS and familiarity with Azure cloud platforms to join our team. This role will focus on delivering exceptional cloud architecture solutions for large federal clients in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area and proximate Virginia. The ideal candidate will possess AWS certifications, hands-on experience in transforming federal clients to AWS IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions, and a strong understanding of NIST 800-53 and the Cybersecurity framework.

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud architecture solutions primarily using AWS, with a working knowledge of Azure.
• Collaborate closely with federal client stakeholders to understand technical requirements, business objectives, and security compliance needs.
• Develop comprehensive cloud architecture strategies that encompass Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
• Drive the transformation of federal clients' systems and applications to cloud environments while ensuring alignment with NIST 800-53 and the Cybersecurity framework.
• Utilize your AWS certifications and hands-on experience to architect scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.
• Conduct thorough assessments of existing systems and applications, identifying opportunities for cloud migration and optimization.
• Design security measures and controls to ensure data protection and compliance with federal security standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, engineering, and compliance, to ensure seamless cloud implementation and adherence to best practices.
• Provide expert guidance to internal and client teams on cloud architecture decisions, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Develop cloud architecture documentation, including diagrams, guidelines, and best practices for reference and knowledge sharing.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, security threats, and federal regulations to continuously improve cloud strategies.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in cloud architecture, representing the organization in client discussions, industry events, and knowledge-sharing forums.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Must possess AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
• 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, with hands-on experience in AWS and familiarity with Azure.
• 6 years experience using cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, microservices, and containerization.
• 6 years of experience in architecting, designing, and implementing AWS-based solutions that conform to NIST 800-53 and the Cybersecurity framework.
• Must live a commutable distance from the client's site in NoVa.
• Must be a US citizen.

• Preferred Certification(s): ITIL Intermediate, at least 2 High level technology certification (examples include MCSE, LPIC-3, CCNP, or equivalents)
