Job Description
Operates diagnostic ultrasound equipment. Obtains high quality diagnostic images. Performs ultrasound procedures at a technical level, not requiring direct supervision.
Job Responsibility
- Under the direction of a qualified physician, performs a variety of ultrasound procedures including routine vascular, abdominal/ visceral, small parts, pelvic/TV, obstetrical, neonatal, portable and operating room procedures according to established department protocols and procedures.Produces high ultrasound imaging in order to obtain diagnostic information.Provides information and explanation to patient in regard to the procedure
- Presents and communicates pertinent case information and clinical images to radiologist

ADA Essential Functions
Job Qualification
- High School diploma or GED, required. Completion of approved training program in ultrasound technology, required.
- Current Registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or must be registered within one (1) year of hire.
- Experience with Radiology Information System, ultrasound equipment and laser equipment, required. Minimum one (1) year experience as an ultrasound technologist, preferred
