Job Description
Plans and carries out a program of development regarding computing and mathematical modeling pertinent to the department. Assists in maintaining proper calibration of equipment. Provides guidance and direction to Physicists.
Job Responsibility
- Verifies computer calculations for radiotherapy through the design of radiation and other measurements.
- Analyzes and documents radiation measurements.
- Plans, directs and evaluates the implementation of radiation therapy techniques in consultation with physicians.
- Participates in the research and development of new therapy modalities.
- Responsible for the implementation of the Quality Assurance program and ensures compliance with regulations of all governing agencies.

Job Qualification
- Master's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Current license and certification to practice as a Medical Physicist in NYS, required. License and certification must be in specialty area appropriate to area of assignment .Plus specialized certifications as needed.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, required.
- Experience with Radiation Physics and MRI Physics preferred.
Shift Details: Monday -Friday; an option of either 9am-5pm, 8am-4pm or 7am-3pm hours with a hybrid work schedule!
