Director, Workforce Intelligence (Finance Focus)

Lake Success, NY

Directs the staff and activities in support of complex Workforce Intelligence analytics and development of short-term strategy for assigned areas with a focus on financial impacts of staffing, compensation, and benefits across the organization. Collaborates across and within Corporate and HR groups to set consistent methodology and standards for workforce measurement on large scale, complex projects. Interprets workforce data & recommends appropriate data driven HR strategy.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Directs the staff and activities in support of Corporate HR Workforce Intelligence analytics and strategy. Designs and implements reporting and analytics to support health system level HR strategy as well as measuring success.

  • Selects, develops, manages and evaluates direct reports; and oversees the selection, development, management and evaluation of indirect reports. Oversees and manages departmental budgets. Ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely fashion.

  • Develops and oversees department financial management including budget, labor, and expenditures; modifies financial programs consistent with changing regulatory and fiscal environment.

  • Develops and oversees financial management including budget, salary, capital, and revenue projections; oversees compliance with government and agency regulations.

  • Collaborates with management in developing appropriate methodology and processes for the analysis of current and predictive workforce data and measurement.

  • Oversees data analysis including regression analysis, relative weights analysis, analysis of variance, factor analysis and structural equation modeling as it applies to assigned projects.

  • Applies data modeling protocols, predictive data analysis methodologies and statistical processes to identify current state and develop actionable insights to solving HR issues.

  • Leads research and developmental analytic projects to find insights into workforce. Interprets workforce data and recommends appropriate data- driven HR strategy to management.

  • Oversees development of HR data governance standards, procedures and policies.

  • Acts as primary liaison with Corporate departments to coordinate workforce analysis as assigned.

  • Develops HRBPs to better interpret & use data tools.

  • Performs ad hoc analysis for Executive team/ leadership as assigned

  • Performs related duties, as assigned.

  • Qualifications:


    • Master's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, or related field or equivalent combination of education/ related experience, required.

    • Minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years progressively responsible experience in predictive data analysis, statistics and development of workforce metrics, and seven (7) or more years management experience required.

    • Strong computer skills including advanced Excel, SPSS, SQL or related programming skills, Oracle and Kronos experience preferred.

    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem- solving skills

    • Excellent communication skills including the ability to concisely explain complicated concepts to senior leadership.
