The position is office based, and can be located in our offices in Rancho Bernardo, CA, El Segundo, CA or Melbourne, FL, and will report to the Sector manager of financial planning & analysis and have the following responsibilities:
Essential Functions:

Support development of the consolidated Sector Long Range Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan

Analysis of division financials, including: financial and cost forecasting, reporting and analysis, profitability analysis, and working capital analysis (accounts receivable forecasting, treasury forecasting, unbilled analysis, and aged receivables analysis)
Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and documentation
Work with the finance and business management teams to develop strategies to improve financial performance based on metrics
Support the development of presentations for, and occasionally brief to, Sector/Corporate leadership
Interface with cross-functional, program, and corporate personnel
Create and modify complex financial briefing templates for Division/Program use
Provide systems support for our Financial Planning tool
This is a fast-paced, high energy environment that requires a self-motivated employee to join the team. The ideal candidate will possess the following traits and abilities: ability to use financial systems, with understanding of DoD financial rhythms; develop and implement solutions of moderate scope and complexity; analyze variances/trends and develop new methods and process techniques; work under very general supervision while completing numerous assignments per schedule and elevating potential issues to ensure proper management focus; exert influence on peers and internal customers; good interpersonal skills while representing the finance team on various projects.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Financial Analyst (Level 3):

Bachelor's degree with 5 years of Finance, Accounting, and/or Business-related experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of stated experience
Requires intermediate to advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Financial Analyst (Level 4):

Bachelor's degree with 8 years of Finance, Accounting, and/or Business-related experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of stated experience
Requires intermediate to advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business-related discipline
Experience with Financial and Business systems (COGNOS, SAP)
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Expertise in financial analysis and financial forecasting in the Aerospace and Defense industry
Candidate has the ability to identify issues and problems and make recommendations to management for resolution or mitigation
Be able to obtain and maintain Secret DoD Clearance
* Knowledge of EVMS/FAR/DFARS
Salary Range: $78,700.00 - $136,800.00Salary Range 2: $98,100.00 - $170,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
