This role, based at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, is crucial in supporting the U.S. President, Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position, and this role is on-site with no remote options.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital part of the Missile Defense System. It serves as a key operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, oversee battle progress, and actively manage designated networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC provides a layered missile defense capability that delivers an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It acts as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to boost overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC is a crucial component of all system ground and flight tests, which verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of the missile defense system.
Integrate C2BMC software into the C2BMC test suites at the MDIOC, mainly on Virtual servers; develop site- and event-specific configurations to support testing, war games, and exercise scenarios. Operate and troubleshoot C2BMC systems during test events. Collaborate with external National Team (CLAW) personnel to resolve test lab issues, and work closely with C2BMC Operations and Sustainment, as well as Level II support staff, to address installation and processing problems.
Essential Functions:

Create and modify scripts to extract specific information from log files, perform data analysis of input, internal, and output message data, and troubleshoot both test and operational issues
Document test results and prepare test status reports
Author Spiral and build-level test plans and procedures, and create Test Discrepancy Reports to document issues
Assist software development personnel with investigating and resolving issues
Develop troubleshooting procedures and workaround documents
Develop and execute detailed test plans and procedures to test C2BMC in an integrated environment or to evaluate specific capabilities
Plan and lead integration tests between C2BMC and external elements and sensors
Review and provide feedback on system specifications, development, testing, and network documents as needed
Attend meetings with other C2BMC FAs, customers, and stakeholders, and represent the Integration team
The position is based in Colorado Springs at the MDIOC but may require multi-week travel to customer sites (e.g., EUCOM, CENTCOM) and contractor sites (e.g., Huntsville, HWY 83)
Must be a self-starter with strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
Able to cooperatively develop integration plans and procedures from sources such as:
Functional/performance requirements and stated technical capabilities
Monitor the integration of test resources
Carry out these detailed integration procedures
Analyze integration results
Present the results verbally and in written format

Able to work effectively and cooperatively with people inside and outside the program, and must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Experience in troubleshooting small to large-scale infrastructure
Basic Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in STEM fields like Computer Science, System Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related area from an accredited university is preferred, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a STEM-related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related field with 4 years of relevant experience
Applicants must possess a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
A DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) is required to start

Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs are required
Knowledge or basic skills in Systems Integration and System/Software Testing, including virtualized environments
Practical experience with LINUX/UNIX and Windows operating systems
Understanding the software development process, from requirements to final product deployment
Preferred Qualifications:

A current and active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret clearance is highly preferred
The ideal candidate should have either knowledge of or hands-on experience with industry or DoD test methodologies and terminology
Experience with operational systems (e.g., Aegis, Patriot), development systems (e.g., GMD, THAAD, Aegis), and off-the-shelf statistical analysis packages is advantageous
Experience in integrating system components within an integrated test environment
Working knowledge of system design and how to integrate systems into an operational environment
High proficiency with VMware, virtual servers, UNIX, including shell scripting
Detailed understanding of Windows and Unix environments
Practical knowledge of test plan and procedure preparation, as well as test execution

Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
