Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Software Test Automation Manager 2 to support our advanced technology development programs.
As a member of our team, you will:
Supporting a team of 10-15 technical staff in management role. Administrative management responsibilities include staffing, performance and compensation management, and career development.
Leading program-engineering execution for system design and deployment project(s).
Accountable to stakeholders and program managers for status updates, issue resolution, and overall engineering execution.
Collaborating with program management office to ensure successful execution against cost and schedule targets.
Providing technical leadership to the team and ensuring proper engineering processes and procedures are followed.
Work with peers and training leads to identify critical skill shortfalls; develop appropriate technical training; and improve team performance.
Develop framework to conduct novel experiments on superconducting devices.
Debug existing software tools and support implementation of new capabilities.
Support the current and future development of test platforms within function, cost and schedule constraints
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of relevant experience; Master of Science degree in STEM related field with 6+ years of relevant technical experience; PhD in STEM related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
Experience designing and executing experiments in physics or electronic device research and/or testing.
Experience working in a lab environment.
The ability to demonstrate strong communication skills and to work on a diverse multi-disciplinary team
A strong ability to learn new topics quickly and independently solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
Experience and knowledge in the following programming languages: Python, C/C++, and/or Matlab.
Strong understanding and experience in a product development process domain.
This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. Citizen.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance per customer requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related field
Deep expertise of cryogenic experimental methods
Experience with superconducting electronics or digital circuits.
Experience with cryogenic test systems.
Ability to automate experimental tasks using high level and built-in software languages
Experience with integrating theory, design, and testing methodology to improve the product development cycle within an agile framework.

Salary Range: $149,400.00 - $234,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
