This position is onsite in Charlotte, NC. Hybrid/remote options are not available.
Job Description:
Follow daily shipping schedule, verify sales order information, ensure any applicable export requirements are fulfilled, and work with the Sales team to address any issues.
Communicate with Accounting and obtain approval for customer shipments with credit or cash-in-advance terms.
Provide shipping and QA data to the Sales team as requested.
Retrieve parts from Manufacturing to process for inventory and shipment.
Review part drawings for QA requirements and shipping deliverables
Create work orders and Special Work Instructions to perform any needed internal or external processing of finished goods.
Perform daily inventory adjustments and validation within the Shop Floor Control and ERP systems, investigating discrepancies as needed.
Participate in month cycle counts of finished goods inventory and support the inventory management of internal parts to support manufacturing.
Process receipt of purchased items, matching packing slips to purchase orders and processing them in the ERP system before submitting to Purchasing
Utilize the electronic Shop Floor Control, ERP, and export management systems for data entry and scanning parts through applicable shipping steps.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area, including proper organization of finished goods inventory.
Perform work in a manner complying with our ISO 9001 quality and EHS management systems.
Distribution and storage of Kan-Ban expendables
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years' experience in a Shipping/Receiving role within a manufacturing or distribution environment
High School Diploma or GED
Basic computer skills including the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
Flexible schedule and the ability to work overtime as needed to meet shipment schedules.
Effective communication skills with peers, other department staff, and management are essential.
Ability to communicate in English, verbally and written, in a technical environment.
Strong work ethic, ability to multitask, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to interpret engineering prints.
Maintain written/electronic records and keep an organized work environment using 5S principles.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and operate a forklift.
Preferred Qualifications:
An Associate's degree in a related field
6-10 years in a shipping/receiving role with experience in domestic and international shipments.
Knowledge of FEDEX, UPS, and DHL systems
* Experience with ERP systems and inventory management
Salary Range: $40,100.00 - $66,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
