Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Sr * Principal Software Engineer - 14904. This position will be located in Huntsville, Alabama or Colorado Springs, Colorado and will support the Sentinel program.
• Developing and executing test procedures and complex scenarios to verify system functionality.
• Create and maintain test infrastructure to facilitate end to end automated software test.
• Help to define and iterate on program automated test strategy.
• Ensure program mandated software standards and compliance criteria are met.
• Collaborate with external software teams to implement unified program automated test strategy.
• Perform trade studies to determine efficacy of software test architecture and design.
• Generating, synthesizing and presenting data based on program automated test results and metrics.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Job Qualifications:
You'll Bring These Qualifications:

Sr. Principal Software Engineer: 08 Years with Bachelors degree; 06 Years with Masters; 04 Years with PhD or 04 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Active DoD Secret clearance - a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.

US Citizenship with Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)

Experience programming and scripting in a UNIX environment (C++, Python, Bash, etc).

Experience with test automation or analysis automation.

Experience with test procedure/strategy development and maintenance.

Strong understanding of Agile software development life cycle from design to integration.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Security+ or equivalent certification.

Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite.

Experience with developing/maintaining CI/CD workflows for software development using GitLab (or similar tools like GitHub, Azure, Jenkins), Nexus (or similar artifact management systems).

Experience with Static Application Security Testing tools such as Fortify, Coverity, CodeSonar or SonarQube.

* Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML) and concepts.

Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $196,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
