This role will be located in Palmdale, CA.

This is an individual contributor role that can be filled at either level.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Act as the subject matter expert for acceptance test procedures, test processes, troubleshooting, and discrepancy resolution, focusing on F-35 program subsystem electrical and mechanical support.

Author acceptance test plans, work orders, and test variances.

Provide direct support for wire harness testing, including coaxial and fiber optic testing.

Collaborate with manufacturing functions to coordinate test activities and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient execution within defined schedules and budgets.

Basic Qualifications Principal Systems Test Engineer (T03):

Must have Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 5 years of relevant professional/military experience; OR Master of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 3 years of relevant professional/military experience; OR PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 1 year of relevant professional/military experience.

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Must have flexibility to work extended shifts, holidays, and weekends as required; this position is primarily for the 2nd shift.

Must have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or Outlook.

Basic Qualifications Sr. Principal Systems Test Engineer (T04):

Must have Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 8 years of relevant professional/military experience; OR Master of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 6 years of relevant professional/military experience; OR PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 4 year of relevant professional/military experience.

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Must have flexibility to work extended shifts, holidays, and weekends as required; this position is primarily for the 2nd shift.

Must have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

Active Secret clearance, with investigation closeout within the last 3 years.

Experience in a production line or aircraft flight line maintenance environment.

Prior experience with wire harness testing.

Familiarity with standard test processes and documentation.

Knowledge of Maintenance Data Collection systems (MES, FMT, CAMS, etc.).

Experience in electrical wire fabrication and repair.

Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.

Knowledge of CATIA modeling.

Primary Level Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
