Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Principal (level 3) or Sr. Principal (level 4) Configuration Management/Data Management (CM/DM) Lead in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU). This position is located in Redondo Beach, CA.
This position is contingent upon program award and/or customer funding.
The CM/DM Lead will be responsible for tasks including, but not limited to:

Lead the Configuration Management and Data Management processes for the program

Create and maintain the Configuration Management plan for customer delivery

Organize Configuration Management processes for all engineering deliverables

Develop and maintain CDRL schedule, submittal requirements, metrics, and Baseline documents in a controlled system; communicate with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and on time deliveries

Perform Change Management activities to a technical baseline: Maintain and manage change requests/discrepancy reports database, facilitate and scribe for control board meetings (CCB), generate board metrics, agenda and minutes material

Facilitate the Risk Management review board for the program, including generating agenda and minutes material

Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills by interfacing well with program management and team members while keeping track of documents and action items

This requisition can be filled as a Principal or Senior Principal Configuration Analyst.
Basic Qualifications:

Principal Configuration Analyst: 5 Years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree; 3 Years of relevant experience with Masters; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Senior Principal Configuration Analyst: 8 Years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree; 6 Years of relevant experience with Masters; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Active Top Secret Clearance required at the time of application, and the ability to obtain SCI

Experience with the CM functions of planning and management, configuration identification, change management, status accounting, and verification and audit

Experience in CDRL management, document generation, and change control board (CCB) preparation and administration

Familiarity with change tracking tools and generating reports

Ability to work independently, multi-task and complete tasks in a timely manner

Ability to communicate and collaborate with fellow team members, cross-organizational teams, and management

Willing to learn CAMEO

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and JIRA

Familiarity with document management and change tracking in SharePoint

Familiarity with CM processes in a model driven program

Working level knowledge / familiarity with CAMEO

Experience with Risk Management practices and tools

Experience supporting milestone events (e.g. product increment and gateway milestones)

* Understanding of EIA-649, GEIA-859, MIL-HDBK-61, AS9100 and related standards

Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00Salary Range 2: $113,500.00 - $170,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
