Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Software Engineer join our Strike team of qualified, diverse individuals in Melbourne, Florida, where we define possible.

Accomplish

You will be responsible for implementing software assurance policies and procedures, code reviews for security issues, supporting the software architecture to ensure security design patterns and good secure coding practices are implemented.

You will have the ability to take ownership of problems and drive to a solution, while working in a team environment. You will apply technical expertise in solving complex integrations problems. You will also interact with Program Management, external suppliers and/or government customers.

The individual we seek will be self-motivated, proactive, goal-oriented to help us grow our services, become even better at what we do and will possess the following qualifications.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related technical field from an accredited university with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Information Assurance and Software Development or a Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related technical field and 3 years of applicable experience
• Experience in a software/system security role
• Solid Experience using C++ in a Windows Environment
• Experience with software test/development, use of static code analysis, dynamic code analysis and fuzzing tools.
MUST HAVE a current and active DoD Secret security clearance.
• Ability to obtain (and maintain) special program access (SAP).

Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with Windows and Linux
• Experience with Coverity and/or Fortify
• Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite
• Familiarity with the Agile software development process
• Any one of the following certifications is desirable: CISSP, CISM, CEH or CSSLP.
• Experience with networking basics.
• A current active SCI or Secret Special Program Access level clearance.

Salary Range: $92,600 - $139,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
