Northrop Grumman's Space sector is looking for Manager Programs Level 2 at our Chandler, AZ facility.
This role will directly support the Deputy Director of Advanced Programs, and will be responsible for the Strike Weapons managing at least one demonstration mission under the Advance Programs Operating Unit at Launch Vehicles. The Program Manager 2 will lead program execution of development study(s) and demonstration mission(s) with focus on timely execution, maintaining customer relations, and leading proposal efforts for the Strike Weapons Program. Co-lead technical reviews, support the Program Engineering Managers (PEMs), Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) Program Manager (PM) and Operations Manager in managing overall cost and schedule. Assist in maintaining healthy relationships with key partners, and develop/maintain good customer relations. Partner with IPT leads to develop innovative engineering solutions, and drive efficiency in partnership with operations under the guidance of the Sr Program Manager. This leader will be responsible for ensuring subsystems garner program success. The Program Manager will value the team as people, and help provide opportunities for each member to develop to be their best.
Responsibilities include:

Manage all phases of the mission from award through completion
Maintain working relationships with the customer and internal/external partners, providing timely communication and engaging to resolve questions and issues
Responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance of contracted activities
Act as primary customer contact for the mission
Establish milestones and monitors performance keeping the program team on plan and in budget
Direct the work of the program team in partnership with the PEMs, SEIT PMs, Operations Manager, and Chief Engineer (CE)
Assist in conducting program reviews both for internal and external management
Demonstrate the highest ethical standards and creates a fun and collaborative team environment
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required with at least 8 years of related leadership experience in project management, leadership, or related field
Active US DoD Secret security clearance, or higher
Experience with Earned Value Management
Prior experience leading medium to large technical teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills
US citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a classified environment
Experience managing programs from $50-100M in value
* Active US DoD TOP Secret security clearance

Salary Range: $135,100.00 - $202,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
