Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Command and Control & Weapons Integration (CWI) Division Business Management team in McLean, Virginia. The selected candidate will report to the CWI Division Financial Manager.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Actively working with a team to achieve organizational and individual goals
Support the monthly reporting close process, including preparation of routine journal entries
Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and documentation

Coordination and collaboration with Finance and Business Management (BU/OU/Program) teams on a recurring basis, specifically supporting:
Data accuracy and alignment of financial attributes
Corporate Treasury's monthly cash tracking, analyzing cash collections/disbursements
Analysis of Billed and Unbilled Accounts Receivable balances, identifying areas of risk/opportunity
Proactive process improvement approach to recurring deliverables, with a focus on increased data fidelity and reduced cycle time
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline and 2 years of applicable experience. Will consider 6 years of experience in lieu of degree; Master's degree 0 years of experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel (i.e. pivot tables and lookup formulas) and PowerPoint
Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment with interpersonal, planning, and presentation skills
Ability to work on-site in McLean, Virginia
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with S/4 Hana / SAP
Experience with Cognos Planning (NGFP)
* Experience with PowerBI
Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
