Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Associate Configuration Analyst/Configuration Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Depot & Modification Center (D&MC) organization. This role is located in Palmdale, CA.
This is an individual contributor role that can be filled at either level.
In this role you will focus heavily on verification and validation of the as-built configuration of air vehicles in the depot maintenance processes. You will be responsible for performing reconciliation and validation of the configuration managed parts, recording required build details reportable to our customer, identifying constraints caused by input errors from production, and working directly with the customer as required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performing Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) as built reconciliation efforts.
Maintaining Configuration Management Process and Operating Procedures (PrOPs), Work Instructions and updates as required.
Performing CDM metrics on a weekly basis and supporting Program prep meetings.
Cross-organizational collaboration to resolve issues associated with reconciliation discrepancies across the As Designed (EBOM), As Planned (MBOM) and As-Built (OBOM) bills of materials including Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Global Supply Chain and Quality Assurance issues.
Training experience in TeamCenter Enterprise (PDM), Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) and the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) tools, understanding of Bill-of-Materials (Engineering & Manufacturing) and product structure.
Responding to customer questions as it relates to CSA, reconciliation on delivered products and serialization requirements. This will require your knowledge and understanding of Item Unique Identification (IUID) requirements.
Basic Qualifications Associate Configuration Analyst (A01):
Must have Bachelor's degree with 0 years of experience OR Associate's degree with 2 years of experience in configuration, data management, or project management OR High School diploma or equivalent with 4 years of experience in configuration, data management, or project management.
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Basic Qualifications Configuration Analyst (A02):
Must have Master's degree with 0 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience OR Associate's degree with 4 years of experience in configuration, data management, or project management OR High School diploma or equivalent with 6 years of experience in configuration, data management, or project management.
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exhibit support for audit processes, update procedures, and communicate effectively and clearly.
Government Contracts Experience.
Familiarity with FAR/DFAR/DCMA.
Experience developing, evaluating or auditing plans, processes and procedures.
Experience with Lean concepts.
Experience with Teamcenter.
Experience with Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing and Test documentation.
Familiarity with Cost/schedule/budget concepts and tools (EVMS, SAP, etc.)
* Knowledge of MIL-HDBK-61A and EIA-649, National Consensus Standard for Configuration Management.
Primary Level Salary Range: $61,200.00 - $91,800.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
