We are looking for a Senior Designer to join the Innovation Sportswear Footwear Design team. The ideal designer is a curious observer, eager participant and a cultural sponge - seeking insights to solve problems. You leverage your outstanding design skills with creative problem solving to create innovative solutions that elevate the experience and key benefits relevant to the athletes and communities we serve. You will create industry-leading product through deeply resonating stories.

The ideal candidate thrives on team collaboration and building functional working relationships to help bring the teams to successful project completion - from concept to reality.

You will work on innovative designs that push the possibilities of sports and culture through footwear for a targeted consumer. We expect you to explore new opportunities, take risks, and change the game! In your day to day, you will engage with project teammates on researching, gaining insights, problem solving around performance, aesthetic and manufacturing. Creating a vast range of creative and beautiful solutions, that are also sustainable and considerate of cost. With each project, you are expected to also participate and present the work in informal and formal reviews. In addition to individual project work, you will also collaborate and actively engage in ideation and sketch sessions across the larger footwear design team.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

As a Senior Designer you will collaborate with the Sportswear Innovation Design Director and with the design community within Innovation and Inline teams (industrial designers, materials, color, computational, etc.). You will also be working hand in hand with a large project team of different experts (engineers, researchers, scientists, marketing, sustainability, materials, costing, etc).

WHAT YOU BRING

Design Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in product design or relevant design degree or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
  • 5-7 yrs experience designing and developing innovative products
  • Passion for Sport and Culture
  • Ability to translate consumer knowledge/insights to narratives and product solutions.
  • Previous footwear product design experience preferred
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
  • Must be able to generate a broad range of concepts and solutions for each project
  • Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator skills
  • Must be able to create accurate 2D technical drawings
  • Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills
  • Experience with Ai design tools is a plus
  • 3D knowledge and experience is a plus. (Rhino, Gravity Sketch, Keyshot, Substance, Blender)
  • Cobbling and prototyping skills are a plus
  • Experienced with presentation programs: Keynote, Powerpoint, Acrobat, etc.
