In this role you will partner cross-functionally across the broader Men's licensed basketball (grassroots, NCAA and NBA) Apparel Product creation team. The key partners you will work with include:
- Primarily licensed basketball product management
- Secondarily branded and signature basketball product management
- Global design
- Global apparel materials, technical development and product creation centers
- Global and geography merchandising
- Consumer insights
- Margin, finance, sourcing, costing and planning
- External partners across grassroots, NCAA and NBA
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're seeking a Product Line Manager II candidate who has a passion for apparel and strong desire to serve consumers. In this role you'll have the opportunity to work across a variety segments of the Men's licensed basketball business supporting the product management team against key gates/dates and product deliverables within the grassroots, NCAA to NBA businesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for product and serving consumers, a growth mindset and a great attitude. Specifically, we're looking for a candidate with a high capacity with a bias towards action helping to keep the team on the front foot. Collaboration and a desire to work as a team to achieve our goals will be critical for success. You'll work as a member of the team to develop a deep understanding of the consumer, drawing connections between consumer insights and marketplace opportunities to create products that move the consumer and business forward. A passion for apparel, effective communication skills, attention to detail and the ability navigate, stay organized and thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment are foundational requirements of this role.

WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Product Development, Sports Product Management, or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
- 1+ years of experience in product, merchandising, or similar consumer-oriented role
- Creativity and passion for product, consumers, lifestyle fashion/trend, sport, color and style
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to lead and influence a team and enable collaborative working relationships
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group
- Attention to detail and proven record of delivery against deadlines
- Necessary Skills/Tools: Excel, SmartSheets, Visual Tool Creation (Powerpoint/Keynote/Miro); MMX understanding is a bonus
- Domestic and international travel (limited Int'l) required (±5%)
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
For Global Men's licensed basketball apparel, everything begins and ends with the consumer or the next generation of basketball athletes. This PLM II role will need to deeply understand our consumer, have a passion for product creation and stay on top of performance and lifestyle trends and marketplace needs. As the leader of data integrity, promptly and proactively managing the internal Nike systems will be critical to success in this role, including the translation of information across teams, maintaining system accuracy and running ad hoc reports to drive a better understanding of our data and build business acumen. In addition, driving sample ordering and organization across the licensed basketball businesses for internal and external partners will provide broader exposure to product types from uniforms, to warm-ups while enabling more successful design and development decision making and sell-in moments with promo and retail partners
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
- Support the product management team and product strategy as we work towards building industry leading apparel that inspires the next generation of basketball athletes
- Facilitate Product Line Management team deliverables and work closely with a variety of cross-functional partners to ensure excellence in data and product integrity and sample needs
- Own the creation and maintenance of foundational tools and processes, including brief tools, Visual Line Plans (VLPs) and Product Toolkits.
- Be seen as a leader for the business, expected to keep projects on task and communicate regularly to partners.
