WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking an experienced leader to serve as Director of Apparel Innovation Concept Studios. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive expertise in fashion, sport performance, product development, studio operations, and innovation management. Proven experience in team leadership, multi-project management, unconventional problem-solving solutions, and the ability to balance a process-oriented mindset with creative vision are essential for this position.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As the Director of the Apparel Innovation Concept Studios, you will be responsible for advancing the brand's vision of future apparel innovations. You will work with various teams within our advanced innovation department and collaborate with design and development partners from global inline teams. Your main goal will be to lead a team of experts in creating concepts that align with Nike's future apparel innovation vision.
- Bachelor's Degree in Apparel/Fashion/Industrial Design or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
- Minimum of 10 years' relevant industry experience
- Comprehensive understanding of enterprise vision
- Expertise in elevated craft
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Mastery of the creative process
- Strong storytelling, presentation, and communication abilities
- Experience leading product creation utilizing 3D tools
- Demonstrated success inspiring and leading creative teams in high-pressure environments
- Collaborative mindset and excellent interpersonal skills with flexibility to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams
- Positive attitude and passion for innovation, product, and people

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Development for Apparel Innovation. You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure strategic alignment with Apparel Innovation's overarching goals.
PARTNERSHIPS
You will collaborate extensively with Directors in Apparel Innovation and Inline Apparel teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance athlete performance, ensuring timely execution for key internal and external initiatives. This role also involves working with signature athletes and external partners to bring Nike's future vision to life.
TEAM LEADERSHIP
You will oversee a team of professionals specializing in cut/sew and knit concept design, encompassing areas such as design, craftsmanship, manufacturing, pattern creation, digital product development, advanced making methods, expert tailoring, and materials curation. Providing mentorship, guidance, and support, you will foster both individual and collective growth, upholding Nike's legacy of performance-driven innovation.
COLLABORATIVE ENVIRONMENT
You are expected to cultivate a collaborative culture where open communication and mutual respect encourage the sharing of ideas and drive creativity. By empowering your team, you will inspire boundary-pushing innovation and exceptional outcomes.
