Responsibilities

    • Responsible for architecture, development/delivery of technology solutions, and ensuring that they align with business objectives and industry best practices.
    • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools for each project, taking into consideration long-term maintainability and performance.
    • Design and optimize software systems to deliver high performance, scalability, and resilience.
    • Closely work with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects.
    • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to software development teams, fostering their professional growth and promoting architectural awareness.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or a similar IT field
    • 10+ years experience in a large-scale corporate technology department
    • Deep experience leading teams in developing scalable and cloud-native data processing frameworks using microservices and cutting-edge technologies.
    • Advanced knowledge of core Java, or JVM-based languages. Proficiency in Python is considered a valuable asset.
    • Familiarity with Java frameworks like Spring boot
    • Experience developing data-driven applications using an industry-standard RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc) including SQL development skills
    • Experience with AWS services
    • Proven experience as an Architect, with a track record of successful software architecture design and implementation.
    • Experience in managing/leading technical teams
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, train, inspire, and motivate the team to accomplish objectives
    • A passion for staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
