Nielsen's mission is to create cutting-edge solutions to help marketers and media companies measure and improve advertising performance by accurately reporting what consumers watch, see, or hear (whether on television, the web, in print, or on the radio).As an Architect, you will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of our company and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the architecture of our next-generation tools to help Nielsen's audience measurement initiatives.

• Responsible for architecture, development/delivery of technology solutions, and ensuring that they align with business objectives and industry best practices.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools for each project, taking into consideration long-term maintainability and performance.
• Design and optimize software systems to deliver high performance, scalability, and resilience.
• Closely work with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to software development teams, fostering their professional growth and promoting architectural awareness.

• Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or a similar IT field
• 10+ years experience in a large-scale corporate technology department
• Deep experience leading teams in developing scalable and cloud-native data processing frameworks using microservices and cutting-edge technologies.
• Advanced knowledge of core Java, or JVM-based languages. Proficiency in Python is considered a valuable asset.
• Familiarity with Java frameworks like Spring boot
• Experience developing data-driven applications using an industry-standard RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc) including SQL development skills
• Experience with AWS services
• Proven experience as an Architect, with a track record of successful software architecture design and implementation.
• Experience in managing/leading technical teams
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, train, inspire, and motivate the team to accomplish objectives
• A passion for staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
