We’re looking for a creative leader who has passion for digital advertising trends, social media and content, and advanced skills in managing vendors and analyzing performance to deliver industry-leading marketing assets.

 

The creative lead is responsible for creating and executing NEXT’s strategy for best-in-class performance creatives that convert prospects into customers. This full-stack creative role spans strategy and hands-on execution with our network of creatives and agency partners. You’ll work across Meta, YouTube, TikTok, Google Display Network and connected TV in, partnering closely with our media buyers to continuously create, produce, test, and iterate digital ad creative. This role requires an eagerness to experiment with emerging tools and trends to drive growth & reports to NEXT’s Head of Content & Community.

 

Key Focus Areas: 

  • Leverage learnings from past digital campaigns to optimize creative approaches and iterate rapidly.
  • Analyze competitor ad strategies and identify gaps and opportunities in the current landscape.
  • Integrate the latest content marketing trends, such as AI video creation, short-form content virality and platform-specific storytelling techniques into the ad creative roadmap.
  • Advocate for performance-informed creativity, ensuring every concept is rooted in achieving business outcomes.
  • Partner with media and analytics teams to translate campaign data into actionable creative insights.
  • Experiment with new ad formats, technologies and production styles to keep creative fresh and effective.
  • Contribute to the evolution of NEXT’s creative tone and visual language in the context of paid media.

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Create marketing assets to support digital ad campaigns (display, youtube, meta, tiktok, ctv) using outsourced vendors.
  • Manage the end-to-end process of working with influencers, editors and other contributors, including creating briefs, pre-production, editing and final approval.
  • Manage agency and contractor relationships.
  • Ensure a comprehensive visual experience across all digital ad platforms.
  • Monitor creative performance and constantly iterate to improve KPIs.
  • Collaborate with media team to meet and exceed KPIs.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the marketing team and company.

 

What We Need: 

  • 5+ years of experience in a relevant position at an advertising agency, ad tech agency, creative studio, production company or leading brand serving small businesses.
  • Experience running the full production process from pre-production through post-production.
  • Experience in creative for performance (not only brand creative) - a must.
  • Experience in editing with adobe premiere cc, and/or knowledge in after effects and photoshop - an advantage.
  • Hands-on campaign management - an advantage.
  • Social media savviness.
  • An established network of creative professionals/agencies we can collaborate with on future projects.
  • Analytical and experienced in using performance data to inform creative decisions.
  • Detail-oriented, goal-oriented and results-driven.
  • Excellent at prioritizing based on impact and managing projects end-to-end.
  • Excited about the latest trends in advertising and social media.

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the location(s) listed. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including, without limitation, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. NEXT employees are eligible for our benefits package, consisting of our partially subsidized medical plan, fully subsidized vision/dental options, life insurance, disability insurance, 401(k), flexible paid time off, parental leave and more.

US annual base salary range for this full-time position:
$124,000$167,000 USD
