UX Innovation Strategist I

Overview
To support cross-functional teams through the innovation process, contributing to the development of innovative solutions for member experiences using consumer insights and UX best practices. Works under the guidance of senior strategists to help visualize and communicate experience transformations.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of innovation tools and methodologies, helping teams cultivate diverse ideas and opportunities while learning best practices for innovation
- Assist in creating visual stories and presentations that communicate member experience concepts, working with senior strategists to develop clear and compelling narratives
- Assist in identifying opportunities for experience improvement using design thinking methodology, participating in research analysis and collaborative ideation sessions
- Support forward-thinking initiatives by researching current and emerging technologies, trends, and practices, sharing findings with the broader team
- Contribute to user-centered design strategy projects and ensure member needs and behaviors inform solution development
- Assist in analyzing user data from various sources and assist in identifying patterns and opportunities that could inform innovative experience directions
- Participate in end-to-end experience evaluation activities, learning to identify opportunities for innovation across touchpoints and journeys
- Support the development of UX strategies across channels and ensure consistent experiences across multiple touchpoints
- Assist in concept development and prototype creation, working with design teams to visualize and test innovative solutions
- Help conduct and analyze user research, contributing to the validation of innovative concepts and the synthesis of findings
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, User-Centered Design/Human-Computer Interaction, a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Demonstrated basic understanding for innovation and user experience
- Demonstrated ability for story telling and to articulate design concepts to a broad audience
- Strong presentation and documentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
- Experience using design collaboration tools (Figma, Mural, etc.)
- Familiarity with prototyping and wireframing techniques
- Familiarity with design systems and pattern libraries
- Basic understanding of data analysis and user research methods
- Experience with design thinking principles and techniques
- Familiarity with user centered design principles and best practices, visual design, user behavior, and interaction models
- Basic knowledge of agile methodologies

Desired Qualifications
- Design Thinking Certification
- UX certification from recognized institution
- Working knowledge of web, mobile and application design
- Experience with innovation workshops or design sprints
- Experience with remote collaboration tools and methods
- Financial services experience
- Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal's functions, philosophy, operations and organizational objectives
