Navan seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role on the Navan Expense Finance team supporting Navan’s Expense Management product lines. The person in this role is responsible for driving business analysis, financial forecasting, financial/metric reporting and automating financial processes for the Navan Expense business segment. Ability to access and synthesize large data sets will be crucial for success in this role. Navan finance teams work closely with their business partners, so any candidate should be able to work well with cross functional teams.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and own the monthly business segment financial reporting, while ensuring both accuracy and timeliness
  • Manage all Navan Expense financial forecasting processes end to end
  • Research any financial discrepancies or questions that arise, and effectively communicate findings with cross-functional team
  • Be the subject matter expert in Navan Expense business economics and create relevant business cases and financial assessments to support key decisions 
  • Create relevant KPIs to interpret business performance and build reporting dashboards to share insights and trends with Navan Expense leadership
  • Evolve and automate our existing financial models and reporting to scale the business and increase forecasting accuracy

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in business, finance, accounting or a related field
  • 3-5+ years of relevant Finance experience
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable conclusions
  • Exquisite written and oral communication skills combined with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
  • The right individual will have solid business judgment and a controllership focus
  • Strong PC modeling skills including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and SQL
  • Ability to thrive and grow quickly in a fast growing company
  • Highly analytical and detail oriented
  • Ideally has experience with Anaplan or similar financial planning and reporting tools like Cognos TM1, Hyperion Esssbase, etc.
  • Ideally has experience with data retrieval and visualization tools like Tableau, Holistics, Looker, Superset or similar
  • Ideally has experience within a Fintech or payments company and MBA, CPA or CFA accreditation
The posted pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the compensation for this position and is subject to change based on business need. To determine a successful candidate’s starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, an evaluation of the candidate’s skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity.

For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. Target incentive compensation for some roles may include a ramping draw period. Compensation is higher for those who exceed targets. Candidates may receive more information from the recruiter.
