We're seeking someone to join our team as a Workforce Screening Investigator.In the Corporate Services division, we provide solutions that enable Morgan Stanley's workforce, across our global workplace locations, to effectively and efficiently work in the service of our clients.This is a director level position within Corporate Security and Investigations.Corporate Security and Investigations (CSI) develops and implements security and life safety strategies for all firm employees and facilities. The team is responsible for Physical Security & Security Technology, Access Control, Due Diligence, Internal & External Fraud Investigations, Travel Security and Workforce Screening.CSI's Workforce Screening Program serves as a critical risk mitigation process responsible for identifying potentially unsuitable employees and contingent workers that may present an operational, reputational or regulatory risk to the Firm. The program has offices in New York, Alpharetta, London, Budapest, Tokyo, Mumbai. Read on.What you'll do in the role: -Liaise with internal stakeholders and candidates to ensure background screening is completed in accordance with Firm scope of screening. -Interact with candidates undergoing pre-employment screening procedures, in accordance with the Firm's regulatory and other operational requirements. -Daily allocation of tasks and division of workload within the team. -Manage screening vendor governance and team performance against Key Performance Indicators. -Support vendor change requests. -Conduct interviews and coordinate further investigation if adverse findings require adjudication. -Manage operational escalations from internal stakeholders i.e. Human Resources (HR) / Internal hiring managers. -Execute background screening for senior managers or identified staff in EMEA. -Escalation of adverse findings to the senior management team, HR, Legal and Compliance, as required. -Produce ad-hoc, weekly, monthly / quarterly metrics reviews, as applicable. -Interact with counterparts within Firm stakeholder groups, participating in working groups and ad hoc meetings.What you'll bring to the role: -Maintains client confidentiality and protects operations by keeping CSI information confidential. -Professionalism, sensitivity, and discretion are required. -Bachelor's degree required. -At least 5-6 years' experience in a background screening role across EMEA. -Native proficiency in Hungarian and proficiency in English. -Mastery of public record databases, internet sites, Pre-Employment Screening vendors and information resources for use during Pre-Employment Screening research. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint and MS-Outlook). -Strong client focus, sound judgment, and ability to tactfully handle sensitive information. -Ability to work well under pressure, resolve conflict, and meet demanding deadlines. -Ability to multi-task and deal with the uncertainties of an evolving, dynamic organization. -Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize information from multiple sources. -Exceptional business writing, editing, analytical, and communication skills. -Experience running meetings and speaking to large groups. -Organizational and time management skills.You may also have: -Prior Workforce Screening, Human Resources, Due Diligence, Law Enforcement or Security experience handling similar background screening or investigative functions. -Membership in professional organizations.
