We also offer systematic alpha and alternative strategies to complement clients' core holdings.This role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model, which includes working in the office 3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.About TeamThe Quality Assurance Team At Parametric: * We work among agile development/delivery teams to test and deliver custom software used by Parametric business users and customers * We are integral to ensuring software and system quality through understanding business requirements, test planning, test automation, test execution and acceptance testing * About The RoleWe are looking for individuals that have a strong curiosity and passion for learning new things, while focused on meeting or exceeding client expectations. As a Senior Performance Testing Engineer, you will be a key leader in ensuring the high performance, stability, and scalability of our software applications. You will design, execute, and analyze performance tests, identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, and collaborate with development teams to optimize system performance, while also mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the overall performance testing strategy. Primary Responsibilities * Performance Testing Leadership: * Lead the design, development, and execution of performance testing strategies and test plans. * Establish and maintain performance testing standards and best practices within the team. * Mentor and guide junior performance testing engineers. * Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define performance requirements and expectations. * Continuous performance testing by integrating to CI/CD pipeline * Performance Testing Expertise: * Design and implement performance tests, including load tests, stress tests, and endurance tests. * Utilize performance testing tools and frameworks (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, BlazeMeter). * Analyze performance test results to identify performance bottlenecks, areas for improvement, and potential issues. * Develop and implement solutions to address performance issues, including code optimizations and infrastructure improvements. * Monitor system performance in production environments and identify potential performance degradation. * Collaboration And Communication: * Work closely with development teams to understand application architecture and identify potential performance risks. * Clearly communicate performance test results, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders. * Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on performance-related aspects of the code. * Document performance test plans, procedures, and results. * Continuous Improvement: * Stay up-to-date with the latest performance testing tools, techniques, and best practices. * Propose and implement improvements to the performance testing process and tools. * Contribute to the development and maintenance of performance testing documentation and knowledge base. Skill SetRequired Experience: 7+ yearsSkill Set: Performance Testing, Cloud Based Platforms (AWS, Azure) AI Powered ToolsPrimary Skills * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field * 7+ years of experience in performance testing, with a strong focus on load testing, stress testing, and endurance testing. * Must have experience and exposure to cloud based platforms like AWS and Azure, AI powered tools. * Preferably expertise around performance engineering and performance monitoring tools like Datadog, Dynatrace and AppDynamics. * Expertise in Continuous performance testing by integrating to CI/CD pipeline. * Experience with performance testing tools and frameworks (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, BlazeMeter). * Strong understanding of system architecture, network protocols, and database performance. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java).
