The team is focused on the development of new relationships, the enhancement of existing relationships, and the application of a holistic and partnership-oriented approach to provide a best-in-class client experience. The Senior Associate role will focus on supporting the sales efforts across distribution channels which include institutional and intermediary opportunities. Highlights & Key ResponsibilitiesThe MSIM Canada distribution Team is seeking a thoughtful, articulate, results-oriented, and collaborative professional to support our fundraising efforts. Responsibilities include: * Working directly with members of the Canadian Distribution team to assist in day-to-day tasks of managing various simultaneous fundraises and diverse client relationships. * Respond to client and prospect inquiries, including requests for data, search related information and other ad-hoc requests. * Creating presentation decks (internal and external), set-up of data room, completion of DDQs, diligence requests, and commitment data tracking. * Tracking sales / marketing activities in the Salesforce system including detailed next steps on a per prospect basis. * Leveraging alternative databases to run prospect searches and consolidate data / information, work with the findings to present in a comprehensive summary / report as appropriate. * Working to support Private Wealth distribution by connecting with Financial Advisors across Canada to drive new sales and demand for MSIM solutions focused on Alternatives. * Proactively identify new business development opportunities and coordinate with relevant sales and investment team colleagues. * Provide support for Sub-Advisory partnerships. * Deep understanding of Alternative Investments including Private Credit & Equity * Maintain a thorough understanding of client firms, including their business strategy and competitors, key decision-makers/influencers and their biases, manager selection process, and communication preferences. * Communicate competitive intelligence and market trends across MSIM's business unit.Qualifications: * 4-6 years of experience in financial services, preferably on a distribution team in Canada * Bachelor's degree * Strong understanding of the capital markets and alternative solutions, along with experience executing on private capital fundraises * Knowledgeable of current market trends and the competitive landscape * Strong communication and relationship building-skills; team-oriented and collaborative * Ability to work well under pressure including a proven ability to multi-task and prioritize * Motivated self-starter with "can-do" attitude and approach with attention to detail * Strong analytical and computer skills; solid Excel skills required for extensive data analyses * Deeply collaborative in their interaction with colleagues across the firm regardless of function or level; a team playerWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years.
