ROADSHOW ASSOCIATE - LONDON SUMMARY Events Marketing is a global team supporting Morgan Stanley businesses worldwide to plan and execute exceptional client events. The Marketing function is part of Integrated Firm Management, which drives coordination and commercial outcomes across our businesses as we consistently and systematically deliver Morgan Stanley to all our clients globally. The team responsible for events in the EMEA region are based in our London headquarters at Canary Wharf, delivering events primarily in London/UK, Europe and Middle East. The team supports across all businesses of the Firm, including Sales & Trading/Corporate Access, Investment Banking and Investment Management. More specifically, the Roadshow team provide logistical support to our Corporate C-level executives and Institutional investors by handling meeting and travel logistics for a variety of roadshows. Reporting to the Head of Roadshows in EMEA, the Roadshow planner role is responsible for planning and executing a variety of marketing trips including Roadshows (Non Deal, Pre Deal & Deal), Fieldtrips, Corporate Meetings/Roundtables and Analyst Marketing trips. The successful candidate will be interested in Finance and keen to understand the business drivers to become a trusted advisor to the business. In addition to core roadshow execution skills, this role requires creative and technical skills to continually innovate and enhance the deliverables, striving to consistently exceed expectations. This is a full-time office-based role in Canary Wharf, London. . KEY RESPONSIBILITIES > Organisation of a wide range of roadshow functions, both internal and external, including: o Non-Deal Roadshows - in person and virtual o Pre-Deal and Deal Roadshows - in person and virtual o Field trips o Analyst Marketing trips o Conference calls / webinars o Roundtables/Industry events > Suggesting and building itineraries, originating, and maintaining schedules. Distributing schedule as required. > Day-to-day schedule management using EventManager - a web-based data application. > Work closely with and build strong working relationships with various business units across the firm including Corporate Access, Research, Institutional Equity Sales, Global Capital Marketings and Investment Banking. > Direct contact with Corporates. Responsible for reacting to the needs of the Corporate and enhancing customer experience. > Strong knowledge of venues/hotels in key European and MENA cities. > Onsite management of some events > Sourcing, booking and liaising with venues/suppliers, to ensure all requirements are met. > Booking virtual meeting connections and joining some calls to oversee and assist with registration. > Suggesting travel/accommodation, including flights and hotels. > Booking ground transportation. > Reacting quickly to questions/problems and offering proactive solutions. > Manage budget and reconcile expenses for each event, and where possible look to decrease overall event costs through vendor negotiations. > Ensuring event budgets, rules and procedures are followed and meet Compliance regulations. > Reviewing and processing of invoices for payment. > Post event attendee reconciliation. > 2-4 years roadshow experience, preferably in a Global Investment Bank > Some experience executing Deal Roadshows desirable, with a view to grow and develop in this area. > Excellent organizational, communication and administrative skills > Ability to maintain a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail and ownership of projects. > Motivated, self-starter, ability to take direction and work independently; ability to think innovatively. > Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload, working under tight time pressures with short lead-times in a high-pressured environment. > Excellent written and oral communication skills at all levels. > Client-centric, approachable, ability to adjust to client needs and style and deepen relationships in support of their business and events; adapt to ever-changing demands and different client work styles. > Ability to establish and maintain internal and external client relationships - service-oriented. > Flexible and willing to work long hours where necessary (often at short notice) > Team spirited. > Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. > Working knowledge of Dealogic / Conference Manager would be an advantage.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years.
