BDS supports MSIM's investment teams, consultant relations, institutional and intermediary new business acquisition efforts.• Global BDS Team's Proposal Strategists are responsible for the project management and completions of RFPs, RFIs and DDQs; collaborating with investment teams, sales and various stakeholders throughout the business to manage their execution. This includes creating compelling strategic value propositions, writing new content, and editing existing responses to tailor them for individual prospects. RFP Writers are responsible for maintaining stock language in our database (Loopio). Members work in a fast-paced collaborative team environment.• In addition, Tokyo BDS Team handles a broad range of asset classes and strategies in order to respond to all types of requests from Japanese clients. When preparing response documents, the team collaborates with overseas BDS strategists and investment teams to gather information in English, and then finalize the response documents in Japanese. Therefore, English language skills are required in addition to Japanese language skills.The successful candidate has experience in or knowledge of the investment management industry. Experience with RFP writing, and sophisticated investment industry knowledge is desired.Responsibilities• Completion of RFPs/RFIs/DDQs utilizing best practice• Cover a broad range of asset classes/strategies.• Maintenance of the Japanese response of RFP database (Loopio) to ensure all information is refreshed regularly• Contribution towards on-going efficiency and quality improvement• Perform related duties as assigned.Key skills and experience• A minimum of two years RFP writing experience within the asset management industry• Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills.• Ability to focus on small details while maintaining larger picture.• Ability to think and write from a prospect's perspective.• Ability to build strong, trusted relationships with sales, investment professionals and SMEs• Ability to work independently but also function as a key contributor in a collaborative team.• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, effectively project manage and deliver outstanding work products under tight deadlines.• Strong organisational and analytical skills• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills• Native in Japanese and fluent in English• Preferable if have experience using the RFP management system 'Loopio'.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years.
