The responsibilities of the position include: * Source new investment opportunities by representing Expansion Capital in networking, direct outreach, and other externally facing capacities * Perform due diligence on investment opportunities, including financial modeling, industry research, market research, and developing a deep understanding of customers and competition * Assist in supporting upport portfolio companies post-investmentThis position is a two-to-three-year role, with Analysts moving to either other investment, corporate development, or operating roles after their program with Expansion Capital. However, this opportunity does have the potential to evolve into a long-term role for exceptionally high-performing Analysts.Qualifications * Superior academic and performance record * One to two years of investment banking or other relevant finance experience (growth equity, venture capital, private equity, private credit, or other direct investing roles). * Software industry coverage experience preferred, but all relevant industry coverage experience (e.g., technology, consumer, healthcare) will be considered * Strong knowledge of accounting, and financial statement analysis.
