We offer separately managed portfolios, tailored to individual client needs, and superior client service.Position: Fixed Income SpecialistThe role of the Fixed Income Specialist will be to support the portfolio management team in a variety of capacities. In addition to managing assets, the portfolio management team (PMT) is responsible for servicing our largest clients and prospects. The fixed income group is lean requiring the successful candidate to be versatile and possess a strong willingness to learn quickly.Responsibilities: * Client Service: Directly responsible for managing and producing presentation materials and standard reports for fixed income department, including materials for clients, consultants, and prospects. * Investment Systems Support: Provide support for fixed income analytic systems and advance use of existing technology. * Trading: Help the PMT analyze securitized bonds and execute Treasury trades. * Trading Support: Working directly with custodians and brokers to ensure trade settlement. The role includes managing relationships with clients, custodians and broker operation departments.Ideal candidate with have all of the following qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in finance/business * Seeking to earn the CFA designation * Excellent customer service skills and attitude * Proactive and strong attention to detail * Good organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to quickly change direction as the need arises. * Strong PC skills (especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint) * Good analytical and problem solving skills required.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years.
