Role:

We are currently looking for a passionate sales professional (Government Capture Managment), with strong business development mindset, coupled with a good grasp of the data solutions, software analytics and financial services industries, to help expand Moody's Capture Management capabilities by assisting in the identification and pursuit of qualifying opportunities to help lead growth across the Public Sector segment, and support the Government team's strategic business development priorities.

Analytical and research skills are important as you will be required to conduct research and analysis on particular agencies and program offices, competitor contracts, procurement news, industry research, data searching and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Scour Publicly available information, including various subscription based vendor portals, to identify qualified Sources Sought, RFI, RFP and RFQ opportunities for Moody's to respond to, across Federal, State and Local Government agencies.
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers and Business Development Reps across all Moody's OUs to identify expiring competitor contract opportunities we should challenge, compete for, or complement with our own capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of Moody's product and value offerings very helpful
  • Assess and determine the needs of the client by researching and developing an understanding of the challenges they face based on their procurement actions, objectives and statements of work, and position relevant Moody's Analytics use cases accordingly.
  • Conduct post-RFP reviews, to document lessons learned, and identify necessary adjustments to capture strategies, WIN strategy, or any Product Development needs
  • Renewals based deliverables: Helping team plan for, protect, and administer renewals - anticipating the associated RFPs, and RFQs, and coordinating the required paperwork
  • Lead to submission multiple RFIs, RFPs and RFQs at any given point in time, coordinating responses across Legal, Marketing, Technology, Product and Relationship Managers.
  • Excellent proposal writing skills and willingness to develop and refine proposal content a must.
  • Draft, develop, and review proposal documentation, technical approach documents, resumes, past performance, and related submittals.
  • Evaluate developing proposals for compliance and effectiveness. Includes being able to contribute persuasive writing reviews, and the recommendation of other improvements and and fixes required for compliance, completeness, and responsiveness. This includes ensuring all submissions meet the Government's stringent requirements so that we are not disqualified, including attention to page counts, font sizes, file types, submission formats and delivery instructions.
  • Illustrate new functionality to existing customers in written form, leading to revenue expansion, across White Paper and other Proposal document types.
  • Represent company at industry and company sponsored events, as required.
  • Provide current forecasts and pipeline information to management.
  • Position requires minimal travel

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree required, with coursework in business, economics, or related fields
  • Strong process and planning skills, goal-oriented, task driven, and enjoys being part of high performing team.
  • Proven analytical abilities; ability to draw insight from findings and understand customer's business issues.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment across multiple concurrent capture deliverables.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues and develop solutions.
  • Ability to multi task and meet short deadlines.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $92,000 to $115,000, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
