About The Role

Our amazing finance team is growing and we're looking for a highly motivated Controller to join our London team. and support the entire EMEA operations (UK, Poland) with payments, employee expenses, payroll and benefits administration.

  • Manage and perform month-end closing process, including journals, reconciliations and related activities.
  • Review of the company's payroll process and act as a focal point for the site with all payroll related issues.
  • Responsible for bank payments, accounts reconciliation as required (banks, suppliers, intercompany, statutory authorities and credit cards), accruals and more.
  • Month-end closing process - ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting package.
  • Manage the company's tax reporting to HMRC, including quarterly VAT reports, annual tax return and other tax affairs.
  • Work with the UK audit team on the company's annual financials.
  • Review the year end Statutory Accounts for our entities in UK and work with the local audit teams.
  • Ensure compliance with group accounting guidelines, US GAAP and internal control framework.

Your Experience & Skills

  • CPA with bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with Big-4 experience.
  • Applicant must be UK based - this is a 3 days a week in the office role
  • At least 7 years of proven experience in a similar role in a fast-paced environment, preferably in a high-tech organization.
  • Ability to work autonomously, eager to learn and collaborate with different stakeholders inside the company.
  • Experience with UK payroll regulations and payroll processing/reviewal - must.
  • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting principles, and financial analysis (preferably with US GAAP knowledge).
  • Experienced in creating financial statements, as well as with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
  • High level of Excel proficiency - must.
  • Knowledge and experience with payroll and employees' compensation related matters review
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
