Principal Growth PM - West Coast and TX

Culver City, CA

Modern Animal is looking for a Principal Growth PM to join our growing team. 

We are looking for a seasoned Growth PM who is passionate about building a great business by leveraging technology and creating great customer experience. This role will drive different aspects of our growth, starting from pet owner acquisition, and overtime expands to drive our unit economics, such as improving utilization of the clinics and revenue per appointment. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will join a team of experts in high-growth startups and veterinary medicine, building a modern and technology-enabled veterinary company. 

We work in a fast-paced environment and cross-functional groups to ideate, build, and roll out products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy. We are looking for someone passionate about pets and the people who love them, and someone who is excited about rolling up their sleeves to bring our mission to life as we grow!

What you’ll be working on: 

  • Take our pet owner growth funnel to the next level, collaborating closely with Engineering, Design, and Marketing to increase customer acquisition and retention
  • Drive improvements in unit economics by identifying key levers across technology and operations, ultimately making Modern Animal more accessible to pet owners.
  • Influence cross-functional partners effectively, ensuring alignment and driving decision-making to achieve the goal.
  • Anticipate and proactively manage risks, communicating insights and recommendations to all levels within the organization

Why you’d be a great fit:

  • 7+ years of experience in a product or related role, working closely with engineering, design, and marketing. 3+ years of experience in Growth. 
  • Experience working in consulting, pricing and packaging is a strong plus 
  • Intrinsic motivation to build a strong business through technology and exceptional customer experience
  • Track record of leading projects that translate to impactful business outcomes
  • Effective cross-functional influencer and communicator with analytical prowess and P&L analysis skills
  • Ability to operate at multiple levels, from strategic thinking to detailed execution
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and asking for help when needed
  • Experience working within an industry with heavy operation components is nice to have

The pay range for this position is $190,000 - $230,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience and geo location. A sign-on bonus and equity grant units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the California Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on geographic location.
