Functional Senior Consultant

Responsibilities

  • Work in implementation teams on customer engagement projects as a Regulatory Business Analyst with a major focus on Government Pricing and Regulatory Programs.
  • Recommend Government Pricing industry best practices to frame system solutions to meet client needs.  Act as project business analyst subject matter expert.
  • Lead customers and partners through the definition and design phases of an implementation process, including analyzing current business processes, documenting configuration and extension requirements for the application as well as data and integration requirements, and produce functional requirement documents.  
  • Conduct gap analysis between system functionality and customer requirements.
  • Train customers on application functionality.
  • Identify business and technical issues throughout the project that could impact requirements, scope, or schedule and work with the project manager to identify potential solutions.  
  • Work with the technical team members during the construction and test phases of the project to clarify issues, manage and document changes when needed, and drive the functional testing by the customer business resources.
  • Support Sales team in demo prep, gap analysis and project estimating.
  • Stay current and provide business guidance internally and to customers related to the Life Science’s Regulatory landscape.   
  • Travel and on-site presence at customer sites when needed.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst with an emphasis on Life Sciences regulatory area.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, business, or related field (Masters / MBA a plus). 
  • Expertise and experience within the following areas:  Government Pricing, Discount Reallocation, Medicaid, Federal Supply Schedule, 340B and TriCare.
  • Life Sciences industry experience implementing Model N Revenue Management suite at least on two different modules including Government Pricing.
  • Thorough knowledge of the software development life cycle and process improvement methodologies, including iterative development practices
  • Commitment to requirements management practices with the ability to control project scope
  • Excellent oral and written skills for use in writing detailed business requirements and presenting solutions to customers, other team members and Model N personnel.
  • Experience with enterprise software implementations either with an enterprise software company or a systems integrator or consulting organization a plus.
  • Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving capabilities in applying practices and procedures to project needs
  • Experience with business process modeling and process improvement  
  • Expertise using the Microsoft Office Suite, with hands-on experience in Excel, Pivot Tables, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to apply processes and methodologies
  • Understanding of web technologies. Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Query, web application servers, and Java/J2EE is a plus
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry is a major plus
  • Must be able to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies
  • Must be a self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Agile methodology knowledge is a plus
