The Infrastructure Supervisor will oversee the daily operations and strategic maintenance of infrastructure at MLB’s flagship headquarters in New York City, along with supporting MLB data centers, facilities, and youth academies. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of power phasing, hardware power calculations, and advanced infrastructure processes and testing procedures. The supervisor will lead the NYC-based infrastructure team to ensure high performance and reliability across all sites.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide the infrastructure team in the installation, maintenance, and expansion of all technical facilities
- Oversee the integration of new systems, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and industry standards
- Develop and implement comprehensive power management strategies for efficient energy use across multiple facilities
- Conduct and supervise detailed testing and routine maintenance of power distribution units and emergency power systems
- Lead troubleshooting and problem resolution for high-level infrastructure challenges, including RF systems and conference room AV systems
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all infrastructure changes and upgrades
- Manage team performance, providing mentoring, training, and development opportunities to staff
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support ongoing and upcoming projects
- Proactively monitor infrastructure health, making recommendations for enhancements or upgrades as technology evolves
- Assist Technical Facilities Operations team with daily operational tasks, maintenances and emergency support
- Assist in planned and unplanned emergency type scenarios
- Maintain inventory, tools and supplies for all facilities in an organized and clean working manner

Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure management within data center environments or similar
- Advanced understanding of power calculations, phasing, and critical systems support including HVAC and PDU management
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising a technical team
- Proficient in interpreting VidCAD drawings and managing large-scale integration projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical challenges
- Strong communication and organizational skills; capable of conveying complex information to non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field preferred.
- Ability to travel to remote sites as needed
- Must have a valid Identification and Passport for traveling purposes
- Intermediate level of fiber terminology and application
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a technical facilities’
- Understanding of programming languages like Python and Java, along with knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, and security protocols
- Experience with emergency support scenarios and disaster recovery operations
Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related aspects of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills, and any other factors MLB considers relevant to the hiring decision.
