Coordinator, Email Marketing & Journey Orchestration

JOB SUMMARY 

The Coordinator, Email Marketing & Journey Orchestration is a member of the Digital Marketing & Media team, and is primarily responsible for supporting the creation, deployment, and automation for marketing campaigns related to Major League Baseball and all 30 MLB Clubs, while also assisting the team with reporting and record keeping of all projects.

Education and Experience

  • 4 year degree from an accredited university in marketing, advertising, communications, business, or related field, OR equivalent relevant experience 
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of an omni-channel marketing campaign cycle
  • Proficient with HTML & CSS
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases
  • Experience working with large email service providers and journey orchestration tools
  • Ability & willingness to learn new content management platforms
  • Experience working with large datasets using SQL in a business setting (Google BigQuery is a plus) and/or Customer Data Platforms

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

Conducting Core Work Activities

  • Assists Email Marketing & Journey Orchestration team to support the implementation of league-wide marketing campaigns from start to finish, including: scheduling, managing assets, processing feedback and deployment
  • Using SQL and/or Customer Data Platforms, leverages MLB's marketing database to pull targeted audiences for Club and league campaigns
  • Provides support for ad-hoc campaign creation, updates & reporting
  • Works in marketing platforms to create email, web & app push campaigns
  • Provides project management coordination and support as assigned

Supporting the Needs of Stakeholders

  • Executes against project plans to ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks
  • Collaborates with manager and stakeholders to support business needs
  • Generates and provides timely and accurate updates in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
  • Communicates in a clear and concise manner that is easy to understand

Additional Desired Skills

  • Photoshop / InDesign or other graphic design skills a plus
  • Working knowledge of email deliverability & industry best practices around inbox placement
  • Ability to write & understand SQL for reporting purposes

Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000.

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision. In addition to your salary, MLB believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package for its employees.
