Public Affairs Strategic Program Manager and Researcher

As a Public Affairs Strategic Program Manager and Researcher, you will have the unique opportunity to be in the front seat of one of Meta's most strategic initiatives. We have an incredibly experienced team tackling some of the most important challenges the company faces. In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex programs, conducting research, and driving strategic initiatives that support the organization's goals. You will be partnering with virtual and in-person teams across time zones and may manage multiple projects pending the bandwidth required.We are looking for experienced professionals who can partner with cross-functional teams in complex efforts at scale while maintaining clarity and organizational awareness. While a high level of business acumen, professionalism, and discretion are required on our team, we believe we can achieve great things in an environment that is both fun and collaborative.

Public Affairs Strategic Program Manager and Researcher Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations, including defining and driving the cross-functional operating rhythms of the program, such as meetings, escalations, reviews, reporting, and communication channels
  • Support the team's approach to strategy development, roadmapping, status reporting, performance tracking, and budget management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to drive program success
  • Conduct research on various topics, including industry issues and trends, to inform strategic decision-making

  • 8+ years of related experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or program/project management experience, including managing complex, cross-functional work-streams
  • Extensive experience with issue advocacy and/or electoral campaigning
  • Knowledge of tech industry trends and policy issues and experience designing, analyzing, and utilizing data from political polling and message testing to inform advocacy strategies and campaign development
  • Familiarity with electoral cycles and timelines
  • At ease interacting with and influencing multiple cross-functional stakeholders and executives. Experience being firm with requests and ensuring follow through and communicating change management to cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Experience focusing on a wide array of subject matters and track record of embracing ambiguity, driving a team to perform at their best, being detail-oriented, and delivering information in a highly organized manner
  • Experience in pivoting quickly and adapting to business needs while communicating and informing a team of shifting priorities
  • Experience in program management, research, and stakeholder engagement
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working on and/or closely with communications, policy, marketing, legal, product, and research teams
  • Track record of demonstrated results in both political and corporate environments
  • Familiarity with Meta's products and services, with an understanding of the company's goals and priorities
  • Highly organized, adept at project management, able to shift seamlessly between strategic counsel and smaller daily tasks and is an experienced communicator

$145,000/year to $204,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
