IP Deployment Manager EMEA Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead an experienced technical team responsible for deployment, configuration, and management of all edge network infrastructure for our EMEA region.
- Expected to be a hands-on manager with technical depth, vision, and innovation.
- Collaborate with Program Managers, Procurement, Engineering, Installation teams and vendors to manage network deployment and operational activities.
- Manage site documentation, capacity planning, asset inventory, and hardware sparing functions at our POP / Colo locations.
- Manage and improve global best practices and drive consistency across the regions.
- Manage relationships with site level and partner engineering teams.
- Responsible for recruiting, hiring and building the team as deemed necessary.
- Responsible for developing and building a career plan for each member to be successful
- 10% to 30% of travel required.
- 5+ years of experience managing a technical team.
- 5+ years of experience supporting, deploying or designing networks.
- Technical working experience and knowledge of routing, switching, Internet protocols, and colocation environments.
- Experience with process improvement, systems development and leveraging automation to streamline repetitive workflows.
- Experience in communication and working in a global team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
- Experience working in an Edge - CDN, Data Center and networking design and architecture.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting IP routing/switching technologies and protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, MPLS, RSVP, and VRRP in a dual-stack IPv4/6 environment.
- Experience building and managing a team with enterprise and carrier class routing, switching, and optical transport platforms responsibilities.
- Understanding of data center design and operational best practices.
- Experience with Linux OS/networking.
- Experience working in a multi-vendor network environment.
- Knowledge of scripting.
