Our Technical Deployment Analysts (TDA) help deliver multiple, concurrent projects simultaneously and lend their expertise with cage design, install and structured cabling for new and existing customer deployments within the data center. TDA's play a crucial role in the business and work with many key stakeholders - including our onsite Engineering teams, Capacity and Sales Engineers, vendors and above all our valued customers. The team is based throughout Australia and the Manager will lead 7 TDA's as well as oversee a dotted line to several more within the business, and the Manager will assume full budget responsibility for the business function.

Responsible for people management of the team including performance reviews, appraisal and interviewing, you will also be heavily involved in determining resources to meet schedules and goals and oversee projects, with a heavier involvement in more complex projects.

Establishing consistency and benchmarking performance across our TDA teams, identifying and rolling out best practices as well as communicating project and program progress updates, risks, and escalation points in a timely manner to relevant stakeholders will all be key to success in the role.

Key responsibilities:

Team Management

  • Manages a team bringing various levels of experience, expertise and commercial acumen, guiding them through best practices and well-defined management precedents


  • Receives objective based assignments and determines resources to meet schedules and goals, this may include recommending changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect multiple disciplines.

Project Planning, Order Requirements & Support

  • Manages and advises the team on a range of approaches to gathering and validating order requirements, recommends solutions such as for non-standard/complex order requirements.


  • Responsible for ensuring standards are in place and followed by the team.


  • Manages and oversees the teams' development of customer project implementation plans for customers' standard/non-standard/complex deployment.


  • Anticipates areas for continuous improvement and lessons learned and leads the team on closing gaps.

Customer Order: Project Implementation and Delivery

  • Manages the team to successfully complete their projects with quality standards within committed timelines and achieving defined/set-out team metrics (e.g. Commit Compliance KPIs)


  • Proactively analyzes team performance KPIs (e.g. Commit Compliance) and provides recommendations/solutions for improvements.

Cross Functional optimization and support

  • Manages the team to support and resolve cross-functional and customer support issues (e.g. customer orders, customer concerns/issues; new processes implementations).


  • Leads cross-functional process design (e.g. end-to-end fulfillment and customer support processes), partnering with mid-level business professional team members within own and other teams and integrating information about Equinix as a business to improve processes/products being offered.

Systems Support/ Vendor support/ Data Support/Analysis

  • Oversees overall impact, analyzing both positive and negative impacts of IBX Operations systems and making recommendations for improvements.


  • Leads the team and engages the cross-functional and regional teams to investigate and resolve data issues on the IBX Operations systems.


  • Manages and advises the team on any required vendor support, working with IBX operations support team.

Budget Management

  • Budget owner responsibility of the TDA function including execution of financial forecast and budget tracking
  • Ensuring financial compliance and adherence to Equinix accounting policy

Qualifications, key skills and attributes:

  • Strong Project or People Management experience, with the ability to collaborate effectively in regional roles, managing employees often not based in the same geographic location


  • Can develop and drive robust mechanisms for business reviews including but not limited to providing key metrics, presentation decks, callouts and action plans


  • Able to firmly communicate project and program progress updates, risks, and escalation points in a timely manner to relevant stakeholders


  • Desire to provide crucial and/or additional support to the Project and Program Senior Manager when and where required


  • Establish consistency and benchmark performance across our TDA teams, identifying and rolling out best practices across Australia


  • Foster professional relationships and stakeholder engagement, utilizing analytics and data to identify and drive improvement opportunities and positive change


  • Willingness to provide open communication, availability, key support and guidance to your team always, ensuring collaboration, professional development and operational excellence


  • Experience and track record in driving business by identifying clear actions and tracking performance against them.
